THRACE. Maroneia. Circa 386/5-348/7 BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 11.38 g, 4 h), Choregos, magistrate. Bridled horse springing to left, with trailing rein. Rev. EΠI XOP-HΓ-Ο around linear square containing grape vine with four bunches of grapes; to upper left, fly; all within shallow incuse square. Boston MFA 813 (same obverse die). HGC 3.2, 1533. McClean 3961 (same obverse die). Schönert-Geiss - (V16/R-). West 105-6 (same obverse die). Fresh and attractive, with a beautiful horse. Very light die wear on the obverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
